Web Design Essex

Here’s a small selection of web design and development projects I have worked on for a range of businesses in Essex and London.

Essex Website Design Projects

Maslens Ltd

Polished Concrete flooring specialists

Maslens has had three websites designed by Phase Two now. This latest version is powered by the WordPress CMS.

Updating and managing the content is a breeze, because the site uses a customised version of the default, light-weight theme (no clumsy site-builder plug-ins required!).

With its many front page and number one positions on Google, it has been an invaluable source of leads for the business.

F.H. Ives Ltd

A traditional Timber Merchant in Wickford, Essex.

The F.H.Ives website is powered by the WordPress CMS and uses a custom built theme. I chose to hand code the theme using the Bootstrap framework for its excellent mobile-friendly, responsive layout.

This Wickford website design client ranks on the front page of Google for ‘Timber Merchants’ and many related phrases, which has significantly boosted brand awareness and sales for the customer.

Black Pig Scooter Shop

A classic Scooter shop in Leigh on Sea.

This was a custom website I designed and developed for Black Pig Scooters a while back.

This web development project included a motor dealer style content management system that I had developed from scratch in the PHP web programming language. This system allowed the customer to log in and manage scooters for sale, as well as manage the content and any online orders.

Newland Hall

A Wedding Venue in Chelmsford, Essex

Newland hall had a brochure style website design powered by WordPress. A unique, mobile friendly theme was custom built for the client.

Some custom features were developed in PHP and Javascript for this website; a gallery management system and a quote request form that adapts depending on the options selected. All quote requests go into a database backup, in addition to being emailed to the wedding venue.

As an old-school website designer, many of my early sites were hand coded from scratch in HTML/CSS. Quite a few also used my own CMS built in PHP/MySql.

These days, WordPress is my system of choice for powering a website. More sites are powered by it than any other system, it’s secure, user friendly, and being so easy to manage means I can focus on SEO, to help you outrank your competitors online.
