This seems to be the most popular choice. When your website needs updating, send us the content by email and we will take care of it for you. Our hourly rate is a very competitive £45* per hour. A typical update usually only takes an hour. If you prefer to spend your time running your business then leave the website to us — we would be more than happy to manage it for you.
*All updates are subject to a minimum charge of 1 hour @ £45.
2. Use a content management system (CMS)
If you want to manage the websites content yourself, you'll need a content management system. This system is designed to make it easy for you to alter the website without having to learn any HTML code.
Content management systems allow you to update parts of your site simply by logging into an admin area, selecting the page to change and then adding the new text or images. If you have ever sold something on eBay you have used a CMS.
This is a very convenient way to update the site and the only cost would be having the CMS built. Your website hosting will also need to support php/mysql — all our hosting packages include php and mysql as standard.
3. Use a wysiwig editor
You could update the site using a 'WYSIWYG editor' such as Microsoft Frontpage or Macromedia Dreamweaver. The only costs would be the program itself, and you would also need to spend some time learning the basics of the program so that you can use it effectively.
